  • Bit commitment is a powerful cryptographic primitive, that is impossible to implement securely in the classical world.
With the advent of quantum cryptography great interest has been put into quantum bit commitment.
Unfortunately it has been proven that in a very general environment it too is impossible.
In this presentation the structure of this proof is explored.
Furthermore an overview is given, that shows which forms of quantum bit commitment are possible under which assumptions.
